Cause

The Campbell River Daybreak Rotary is proud to support many programs through the area. This year we are happy to support the Grassroots Kind Hearts Kitchen, local school projects at Phoenix Middle School and the Quadra Island Seniors Centre. In addition, this year proceeds will be going towards supporting the Q̓ʷalayu house.

The Q̓ʷalayu house has 10 rooms that are dedicated to supporting families who live on the North Island and are required to be in Campbell River for medical appointments for their children. This house is a project from the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island and is a house mirrored after the successful Jeneece Place in Victoria.

The Rotary Clubs of the North Island have dedicated $100,000 to this House and the raffle proceeds will support this goal.

The Campbell River Daybreak Rotary was established in 1987 and is made up of nearly 60 members who work to make the community better. Past projects include the Maritime Heritage Centre, Storey Creek Fish ladder, Centennial Pool upgrades and numerous others.
